We are looking for a visual storyteller who doesn’t just cut footage, but acts as a creative partner-someone who can take a complex scientific milestone, a loose brief, or raw assets and separately shape them into cinematic, engaging narratives.\nIn this role, you will work closely with our Creative Leads to build out our video pipeline, including hero product films, technical capability demos, documentaries, and YouTube-first content. You will possess a rare blend of high-end editorial craft and the autonomy to self-start projects from assembly to final polish.\nArtificial intelligence will be one of humanity’s most transformative inventions. Our global teams offer diverse learning opportunities and varied career pathways for those driven to achieve exceptional results through collective effort.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with in-house creative teams and external production companies to edit and deliver high-quality video content.\nAssemble raw footage, audio, and graphics into polished hero product films, technical capability demos, podcasts, and documentaries.\nManage full post-production workflows from initial assembly and color grading to sound design and final export.\nEnsure asset consistency across multiple formats while upholding DeepMind brand standards and visual guidelines.\nCreate engaging social-first content for a variety of platforms and audiences.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Cinema, Media, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.\n2 years of experience working in video editing.\nExperience with post-production workflows.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience delivering multiple campaign assets/formats with consistency and attention to detail. A keen eye for current editorial trends, motion graphics integration, and digital/social formats.\nExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro and Google Workspace and strong understanding of post-production workflows.\nGood knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs, and their proper managing in a post workflow.\nPassion for visual storytelling and translating complex tech or scientific milestones into engaging narratives.\nStrong self-motivation, time management, and the ability to balance multiple fast-moving projects.\nA collaborative working style and ability to take initiative on creative decision making.
