You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.\nIndividual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $157000 - $227000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and integrate safety solutions based on proactive risk assessments to maximize worker protection in Research and Development (R&D) and lab settings.\nOversee the creation of educational materials, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure safety solutions scale across the Bay Area cluster.\nPartner with the site leads to embed safety protocols into daily operations, ensuring minimal friction and maximum compliance.\nConduct regular audits and risk assessments; draft high-level reports for leadership on site safety and health.\nLead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents or \"near misses,\" identifying corrective actions and ensuring they are tracked to completion, while also ensuring environmental permitting and compliance at local, state, and federal levels.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n7 years of experience with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations including Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Washington State regulations.\nPreferred qualifications:\nEHS related licenses, or certifications (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or similar).\nExperience working in a cross-functional team environment in close partnership with facility management teams, security, and business leadership.\nExperience managing campus operations with a focus on compliance, research labs, permitting, employee safety, and emergency management.\nProven ability to manage complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment;
