We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.Responsibilities\nSet and communicate team priorities. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams. Leverage telemetry, offline/online benchmarks, and developer tooling to improve product excellence, production reliability, and engineering execution velocity across agentic workflows.\nSet clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.\nDevelop the mid-term technical direction and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) team(s). Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.\nDeliver AI-native, agentic enterprise solutions across POps Solutions core pillars building enterprise-grade agentic applications, full-stack workbenches and autonomous operational workflows.\nDesign, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n8 years of experience in software development.\n3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.\n2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.\nExperience designing and operating distributed computing systems for large-scale AI/ML workloads.\nPreferred qualifications:\n3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.\nExperience in launching Machine Learning or AI products from research to production.\nExperience designing architectures for Artificial Intelligence applications.\nExperience building and customizing structured execution models like (Reason + Act), Tree of Thoughts, and Plan-and-Solve loops to equip AI systems with cognitive scaffolding for decomposing unstructured goals into deterministic DAGs.\nExpertise in offline, online, and RL-based validation strategies.
