You will collaborate with silicon design, verification, and architecture teams to build robust front-end CAD tooling, automated workflows and continuous integration/presubmit frameworks. In this role, you will address complex hardware design technology challenges, streamline CAD workflows for high-impact silicon projects, and ensure high quality and scalability across global engineering teams.\nThe ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.\nWe prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.\nResponsibilities\nWork with partner teams to provide the compute, storage and methodology needs of the chip design, verification and physical design teams.\nDesign and implement CAD tools, solutions and methodologies for ASIC development.\nCreate software solutions that improve the hardware design process through automation.\nPropose, design and implement software automation that directly addresses bottlenecks in today's ASIC and SoC EDA flow.\nLeverage AI to both speed the development of tools and development flows, providing more natural and higher-efficiency ways for users to interact with developed technologies.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience with hardware tools and flows.\nExperience with scripting for automation (e.g., shell, Python).\nPreferred qualifications:\n1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures and algorithms.\n1 year of experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality and code health (e.g., compilers,
