As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will define priorities based on our Objectives and Key Results (OKR's) to drive network product development and life-cycle decisions. You will be working with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Operations teams to ensure new solutions meet Operational needs and drive out technical debt and design/deployment snowflakes. Technical Program Manager in Generative AI (GEN) solves testing problems relating to efficient scaling, security and high availability as Google continues to push the boundaries for innovative new technologies.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.\nResponsibilities\nManage and drive the development and delivery of enterprise network engineering products while leveraging automation and software programs by coordinating with global delivery teams across the company to facilitate efficient network services to customers.\nPartner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver large technical networking projects.\nDevelop reports to track scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project status; coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and control project issues to ensure timely delivery.\nWork with management to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and ensure the efficient/reliable achievement of process objectives.\nManage third-party vendors responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of network services, including facilitating any escalations requiring engineering assistance.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n8 years of experience in program management.\n5 years of experience in leadership role with/without direct reports.\nExperience in technical program management.\nExperience in a people management or team leadership role.\nExperience in technical program management for network infrastructure delivery.\nPreferred qualifications:\n8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.\nExperience with network certifications such as PMP, Agile project management, BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, CCDE, CCNP, or CCIE.\nExperience designing and facilitating the implementation of networking data centers or colocation facilities.\nExperience managing technical vendors and leading quarterly business reviews.\nExperience working in integrated teams composed of both technical and non-technical
