Procurement Operations is a key function within ESC, ensuring that equipment is purchased and delivered to sites efficiently, cost-effectively, and predictably. This team works closely with Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Planning, Delivery, and Site Execution teams.You will lead strategic programs and initiatives within the Equipment Supply Chain (ESC) Procurement Operations team.\nAs a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving significant improvements in the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of procurement processes for Google's data center builds. You will own complex, cross-functional programs from conception through implementation, ensuring on-time delivery of critical infrastructure. Develop program charters, define scope, set objectives, and actively manage timelines and resources.\nIdentify and analyze breakdowns and inefficiencies in existing procurement processes. Design and implement new, scalable processes, tools, and automation solutions to improve operational excellence, reduce cycle times, minimize risk, and lower costs.\nProvide strategic direction and oversight for key procurement operations functions, such as purchase order lifecycle management, supplier onboarding and enablement, contract compliance, and procure-to-pay processes.\nApply technical understanding of the equipment being procured and the systems used (e.g., ERP, procurement platforms) to inform process design and guide program decisions.
