Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA\nJob Type: Full-time\nResponsibilities:\nWork with cross-functional teams to evaluate mechanical system requirements and develop suitable engineering solutions.\nPerform mechanical design and analysis using internal software tools.\nCoordinate with vendors to facilitate the fabrication and procurement of mechanical components.\nCarry out machining modifications and basic component fabrication;\nSupport the design and development of neutral-atom quantum apparatus and associated mechanical systems.\nCollaborate directly with research scientists to refine designs and support implementation.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nAt least 2 years of experience in mechanical design or mechanical design analysis;\nAt least 2 years of experience developing mechanical system solutions.\nAt least 2 years of experience working in a mechanical engineering technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.\nPreferred:\nMaster's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.\nExperience with optomechanical systems, ultrahigh vacuum systems, or high-stability scientific equipment.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with considerable uncertainty.\nAbility to incorporate evolving information quickly and adjust design processes and strategies accordingly.\nBenefits and Compensation:\nAnnual base salary: $126,000 to $180,000.\nBonus: 15% target bonus.\nEquity compensation, subject to applicable agreements and approval.\nAdditional employee benefits.
