Our team owns the full life-cycle of all space, power, and network assets in all of Google’s data centers and metro points of presence globally. From the foundation, we are involved from site acquisition to construction and are accountable for what space and power is delivered. We're involved in every facet of network delivery from architecture and design to installation, configuration, activation, and commissioning. about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver Google's network reliably and at scale, with a focus on workflow automation and efficiency.\nDrive adaptable and scalable approaches, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network deployment cycle time and operational costs through process improvements.\nManage area of responsibility, addressing issues, anticipating needs and escalating as necessary, while identifying automation opportunities to improve efficiency and prevent reoccurring failure modes.\nMaintain accurate network data to drive operational excellence.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n3 years of experience with fiber types and their application, physical fiber characteristics, and standard testing tools (e.g., Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA), Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)).\nExperience in telecommunications, carrier class optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience with managing or directing field operation technicians, engineers, contractors or vendors in a Telco working environment.\nExperience in developing and implementing automation solutions for network deployment or similar processes.\nExperience with process improvement or process engineering methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).\nAbility to travel up to 50% as necessary.\nProven ability to navigate ambiguity, lead technical projects, prioritize and manage project timelines.\nStrong investigative and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven
