You'll contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.\nAs part of our Server Chip Design team, you will use your ASIC design experience to be part of a team that creates the SoC VLSI design cycle from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with design and verification engineers in active projects, creating architecture definitions with RTL coding, and running block level simulations.\nIn this role, you will contribute in all phases of Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs from design specification to production. You will collaborate with members of architecture, software, verification, power, timing, synthesis, etc. to specify and deliver high quality SoC/RTL. You will solve technical problems with innovative micro-architecture and practical logic solutions, and evaluate design options with complexity, performance, power and area in mind.\nThe ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.\nWe prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.\nResponsibilities\nDefine the block level design documents such as interface protocol, block diagram, transaction flow, pipeline, and more.\nPerform RTL development (e.g., coding and debug in Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL), function/performance simulation debug, and Lint/CDC/FV/UPF checks.\nParticipate in synthesis, timing/power, and FPGA/silicon bring-up.\nParticipate in test plan and coverage analysis of the block and SOC-level verification.\nCommunicate and work with multi-disciplined and multi-site teams.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n10 years of experience architecting networking ASICs from specification to production.\n8 years of experience in technical leadership.\nExperience in one of the following areas: arithmetic units, bus architectures, processor design, accelerators, or memory hierarchies.\nExperience developing RTL for ASIC subsystems.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience working with design networking like: Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) or packet processing and system design principles for low latency, high throughput, security, and reliability.\nExperience in TCP, IP, Ethernet, PCIE and DRAM including Network on Chip (NoC) principles and protocols (AXI, ACE, and CHI).\nExperience architecting networking switches, end points, and hardware offloads.\nUnderstanding of packet classification, processing, queuing, scheduling, switching, routing, traffic conditioning, and telemetry.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3449,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":10,"management_years_min":8,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Operating Systems","Streaming & OTT Platforms","Foundation Models","Consumer Internet Groups"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T16:14:42Z"}],"liveness":{"score":62,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.625,"p_room":1,"age_days":7,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["conf:8","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/google-rtl-design-technical-lead-networking-google-cloud","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/google-rtl-design-technical-lead-networking-google-cloud.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T18:57:47Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1241,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3759,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
