benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nOversee end-to-end accounting processes for Google Payments under US GAAP, including complex global fee allocations and revenue/expense classifications across Ads, Cloud, and Hardware.\nLeverage SQL, AI, and workflow automation tools to modernize core accounting operations, eliminate manual tasks, and improve precision in global incentives and reporting.\nCollaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to design scalable finance infrastructure, implement robust internal controls, and mitigate operational and compliance risk.\nExecute end-to-end close cycles-including contract reviews, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses-while delivering executive-ready reporting and audit support.\nAdvise Product, Sales, and Operations on the accounting implications of new business models, zero-to-one product rollouts, and commercial contracts to ensure operational readiness.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).\n7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.\nExperience in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience in business recognition and expense classification (cost of sales, operating expense).\nExperience leveraging SQL, AI and other process automation to optimize process flows, reduce risk and power decision-making.\nUnderstanding of emerging financial technologies, with the ability to automate the standard to
