We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
As the Product Manager for Spatial Platform, you will be at the heart of our strategy to expand the Android XR ecosystem beyond our nascent set of spatial capabilities. Your mission is to define and deliver scalable spatial capabilities for a range of device configurations-from fully immersive XR Headsets to all-day Intelligent Eyewear-and to do so in alignment with Android.
This is a highly technical role that requires a deep understanding of Android XR and Android platform architecture, Android Toolkits, hardware-software co-design, and partner needs across Glasses and Headsets.

Responsibilities
- Define the product strategy for the Spatial Platform, enabling both easy adoption by partner devices and long-term scalability alongside a rapidly evolving foundation of Android OS.
- Partner with the Developer Experience team to define and deliver a roadmap of developer-facing spatial capabilities, APIs, and SDKs.
- Define a platform alignment strategy that is synergistic with AOSP and Toolkit roadmaps, balancing durable, long-term cross-team investment with the speed needed for fast delivery.
- Enable specific device launches from a spatial platform perspective, solving for enabling both standard Android apps and Spatial XR Apps on each device.
- Define and lead the roadmap for the platformization of spatial AI. Ensure that spatial AI capabilities work seamlessly for the latest AI agents.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product management or technical program leadership.
- 5 years of experience shipping low-level OS, kernel, system performance, power/battery architecture, or hardware-software platforms.
- Experience defining and enforcing system performance budgets (e.g., power, thermals, memory/RAM, latency, or boot time) across consumer electronics or embedded computing platforms.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams (e.g., Software Engineering, Kernel, Firmware, Silicon/Hardware, QA, and UX) to deliver commercial consumer hardware or platform releases.
Preferred qualifications:
- Direct experience with the AOSP, Android Toolkits, or other scaled OS platforms.
- Proven experience managing complex partner ecosystems, including negotiations and technical collaboration with OEMs.
- Experience defining and launching developer-facing platforms, APIs, SDKs, or tools.
- Deep understanding of hardware/software co-design and system architecture for consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with the XR market, including headsets and smart glasses, and its application in consumer use cases.
