We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.Interconnect has been one of the key features for GCP to onboard large enterprises and as such is a high impact project.\nIn this role, you will build Cloud Interconnect, which virtualizes the edge and foundation and allows enterprise customers to connect their on-premises data centers/networks to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at 100 and 10 Gb/s speed. You will also span to connecting smaller customers through partners, as well as building ultra-low-latency interconnects in order for customers to be able to use large file stores and databases operated by third-parties, adjacent to Google data centers. You will manage complexity from physical network and routers through cloud virtualization.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the launch of Cloud networking infrastructure to enable Artificial Intelligence (AI)-motivated workloads to unlock their full potential.\nDesign, develop, and scale cloud networking products and infrastructure to enable the hybrid cloud technical roadmap, ensure their availability, reliability, and performance.\nAdvocate and drive engineering and operational excellence.\nCreate designs for complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on ambitious goals.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages: C, Go, Python, C++, or Java.\n3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.\nAbility to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree in a related technical field.\nExperience in networking spanning one or more of the configuration, control, and data planes.
