benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop reliable Android APIs and SDK components for automotive applications.\nLead complex projects and collaborate across Google Maps to bring core Maps services to cars.\nDrive the technical direction in engagements with car makers to build in-vehicle navigation.\nShape our product and technical roadmap by bringing automotive industry expertise into the team.\nApply Google engineering best practices and modern agentic workflows in the automotive context.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.\n3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.\nExperience working with clients from the automotive sector or similar.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience designing and developing reliable APIs and SDKs.\nExperience in automotive software development (e.g., navigation software, in-vehicle infotainment, digital cockpits, Android Automotive OS, or ADAS).\nExperience with Android software development and Google Maps or similar platforms.\nExperience using modern AI-assisted and agentic software engineering workflows.\nExperience working with enterprised stakeholders (especially automakers) and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly across internal engineering teams and external
