You will have true ownership of the full feature lifecycle, building solutions that span entirely from robust backend systems to seamless frontend UI components, leveraging agentic workflows and DevAI tools to accelerate delivery and productivity.\nWhether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.\nResponsibilities\nTake end-to-end ownership of feature design and deployment, operating seamlessly across the stack from backend infrastructure to frontend mobile and web ecosystems.\nMentor junior engineers on reliable, scalable, and secure designs.\nLead technical designs for robust backend services and data processing pipelines that support massive-scale growth experiments.\nEnsure long-term feature reliability by building comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automated performance tracking.\nContribute to engineering excellence by participating in design reviews, improving code quality, and leveraging DevAI and agentic coding workflows to accelerate end-to-end development.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n5 year of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.\n3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.\n1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.\nMobile app, web, full-stack or backend development experience.\nExperience building systems that scale to millions of users globally.\nExperience working on DevAI for Agentic coding and
