The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop low-level system software components for Pixel security, and design the cutting edge security features for future Pixel devices.\nParticipate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.\nReview code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).\nDevelop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities, and contribute to upstream open source software projects.\nTriage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.\n3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.\n1 year of experience with software design and architecture.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.\n1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.\nExperience in embedded or phone security design, including authentication, encryption, certificate management, and operating system security.\nExperience with boot and runtime firmwares, such as TF-A, UEFI, and ACPI.\nFamiliarity with low-power SoCs and various CPU architectures (e.g., ARM, RISC-V, x86, MIPS).\nBackground in open-source software development and a strong understanding of the security development life cycle
