Networking, Data Center operations, systems research, and much more.\n Responsibilities\nCollaborate with operations and design team to verify the data center (DC) mechanical designs starting from master planning to project conception to IFC for new DC projects build outs and major infrastructure upgrades. \nInvolve in new technology research and department (R&D) and project insertions through collaboration with the core engineering teams during the development. \nReview system level concept and schematics designs and verify through to detail designs to assure requirements are met.\nCollaborate with Data center Technology Systems (DCTS) for program level mechanical system issues during project design phase, identify and resolve issues with the cross-functional program teams.\nIdentify global program wide issues that impact multiple projects and help determine a path forward as well as act as the escalation path for field issues.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.\nExperience in mechanical infrastructure.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Engineering, Business, a related technical field.\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license.\nExperience in designing complex modular building scale assemblies, with an understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.\nExperience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, domestic water systems, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical facility design and construction environment.\nUnderstanding of facility cooling and related infrastructure systems for data centers or equivalent critical, industrial automation, controls systems design and stack integration\nKnowledge of mechanical engineering and design principles in the areas of design for medium-scale production, structural beams/elements, international building codes, and of construction safety
