As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nUS: $262000 - $364000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nSet the multi-year technical direction and system architecture for the Geo Automotive SDK across map data delivery, localization, navigation, and 3D rendering.\nArchitect end-to-end software systems that connect cloud geospatial services and vehicle sensor pipelines to low-latency client APIs and multi-screen cockpit displays.\nDefine SDK design standards, testing and simulation strategies, and modular interfaces that allow the platform to scale cleanly across multiple vehicle programs.\nLead technical alignment across Geo service teams, Android Automotive, Product Management, and Forward Deployed Engineering to deliver cohesive capabilities for global automakers.\nShape the engineering culture across Seattle, Munich, and Mountain View by mentoring senior engineers and tech leads, raising the bar on code and design quality, and staying with complex technical problems.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n8 years of experience in software development.\n5 years of experience with design and architecture;
