Home seeks to create a home that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it. Health empowers you to live a longer, healthier life. The Health and Home Infrastructure team has been responsible for empowering the development and operation of compelling Home experiences with scalable and efficient serving and offline infrastructure, coherent internal developer platforms, easy-to-use APIs, trusted data services, and systems to manage and build user trust. It is now expanding to do the same for supporting the health products in the same manner while both teams are rapidly expanding their usage of AI.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 2 years of experience in software development with Java or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience refactoring and working in legacy systems.
• Experience with large, distributed infrastructure and working across multiple systems.
