In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally. \nResponsibilities\nGuide the technical direction to transition the core fabric of Search into an inherently multimodal platform, driving critical AI Mode (AIM) and AI Overviews (AIO) orchestration improvements.\nDrive the organizational working methodology toward agent-driven architectures and spec-driven development. Have AI fluency and be prepared to discuss your knowledge of AI tools in the hiring process.\nManage complex integrations with sibling infrastructure teams, product teams, and downstream AI partners. Leverage the local Uber Tech lead (UTL)/Technical Lead (TL) presence in Bangalore to make effective architectural decisions and unblock your team.\nFoster rigorous engineering practices. Advocate system reliability, precise capacity planning, and latency optimizations.\nHire, mentor, and sponsor a high-performing engineering team.
