more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nSet the technical direction for the Auto SDK platform and its public API surface.\nLead the design and delivery of complex features end to end, from API design through core navigation.\nOwn a vertical or horizontal workstream as its DRI, driving platform investments that unblock feature throughput.\nDrive consensus among senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders through clear design and strategy documentation.\nAct as the senior technical counterpart to automaker engineering teams alongside forward deployed engineers and product managers.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n8 years of experience in software development and system architecture.\nExperience leading alignment across engineering, product, and cross-functional teams.\nExperience as a technical lead owning client-side architectures, APIs, or SDK platforms.\nExperience in stakeholder management with external customers and partners.\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience designing and building APIs, SDKs, or software applications within the Android ecosystem (Kotlin, Java, or C++).\n\nExperience in automotive software development (e.g., digital cockpits, in-vehicle navigation, infotainment systems, Android Automotive OS, or ADAS).\nExperience collaborating with enterprise partners or automakers to translate real-world partner needs into scalable product architectures and long-term technical roadmaps.\nExperience with mobile application development or other complex operating systems, with a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms and environments.\nPassion for or experience with driving AI innovation and agentic workflows to improve engineering velocity and product
