In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally. \nResponsibilities\nOwn varied technical challenges in the Search Intelligence stack.\nCollaborate closely with senior engineers, AI/ML researchers, and Product Managers to translate the innovations into concrete technical designs and implementations.\nDrive technical design decisions within your area of ownership and contribute to technical best practices.\nEnsure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Search Intelligence features, operating at Google's massive scale and addressing the unique needs of the Indian market.\nBe passionate about Search and solve problems with increased levels of ambiguity. Have AI fluency and be prepared to discuss your knowledge of AI tools in the hiring process. Collaborate closely with engineers, AI/ML researchers, and PMs to translate the innovations into concrete technical designs and implementations.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.\n8 years of experience in software development.\n5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).\n5 years of experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.\n5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.\nExperience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\nExperience with building or leveraging agentic frameworks and Large Language Model (LLM)-powered automation to enhance investigative velocity.\nExperience with building classifiers, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), ranking, and
