You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.\nAs a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Edge Service Capacity Delivery, you will independently manage the full lifecycle of large-scale network infrastructure migrations. You will lead cross-functional efforts to safely transition traffic across generations of Google’s global internet backbone and edge network.\nIn this role, you will define and address cross-functional challenges to drive legacy network deprecations, proactively adjusting program levers (e.g., schedule, resourcing) to deliver results on time. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.\nIndividual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nManage complex network migration lifecycles, safely moving large-scale edge traffic flows to next-generation software-defined network (SDN) architectures.\nBreak down infrastructure deployments into discrete phases, proactively managing dependencies, risks, and deliverables for key edge transit and peering infrastructure, while aligning cross-functional stakeholders, including Site Reliability Engineering and Network Planning teams, managing expectations throughout the migration lifecycle.\nTriage technical migration issues across teams, assessing the impact of technical escalations like traffic throttling, capacity overflows, and routing latency regressions.\nIdentify deployment velocity improvements via throughput metrics.
