Google is an American technology company founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and now the principal subsidiary of Alphabet, headquartered in Mountain View, California. It operates the world's dominant search engine and the advertising system built around it, along with YouTube, Android, Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Workspace and Google Cloud, reaching billions of users across nearly every internet-connected market. The company designs its own silicon in the Tensor Processing Unit line, develops the Gemini foundation models through Google DeepMind, and derives most of its revenue from advertising while cloud has become its fastest growing segment.

About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people's lives better through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Drive global wireless RF product certifications for assigned programs, coordinating with cross-functional development teams, external test labs, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Track and help troubleshoot RF compliance failures, partnering with internal engineering and cross-functional teams to coordinate technical solutions with external manufacturing partners, suppliers, and test houses, while delivering clear, timely status updates that flag regulatory risks and issues early to stakeholders.
  • Execute compliance test plans against established requirements and review test reports for completeness and accuracy to support regulatory filing packages.
  • Perform compliance work following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including sample preparation, test setup, and debug experiments with engineering teams and test labs.
  • Follow and help improve internal certification processes, and support ongoing reviews to keep active product reports aligned with global regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of program/project management experience in the consumer electronics industry.
  • 1 year of compliance experience specializing in hardware regulatory standards, testing, and certifications.
  • Experience with wireless technologies such as WWAN (GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G/NTN), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, UWB, or GPS.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting global regulatory certification processes for high volume, mass produced consumer electronics.
  • Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for RF testing, lab experiments, or certification workflows.
  • Experience with key industry certifications (e.g., FCC, CE, ISED, MIC).
  • Knowledge of global RF compliance standards, including RF metrics, RF exposure evaluation (SAR/MPE), and global compliance certification.
  • Understanding of global product certification, industry best practices, and the technical requirements needed to align product designs with regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones.
