It operates the world's dominant search engine and the advertising system built around it, along with YouTube, Android, Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Workspace and Google Cloud, reaching billions of users across nearly every internet-connected market. The company designs its own silicon in the Tensor Processing Unit line, develops the Gemini foundation models through Google DeepMind, and derives most of its revenue from advertising while cloud has become its fastest growing segment.

About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

There is little doubt that the Android and Pixel teams make a major impact on the mobile industry. Our devices set the highest possible bar for a quality user experience and our software reaches more than a billion users worldwide. Successful Technical Program Managers on the team epitomize the philosophy that huge gains are made in the long run by focusing on the right details now.

You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. • Manage complex technical interdependencies across distinct workstreams, synchronizing data engineering pipelines with model training schedules to drive swift execution, maintain defensible release plans, and proactively mitigate key risks.
  • Optimize engineering efforts and maximize resource efficiency across teams by consolidating redundant baseline Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning initiatives and building robust, shared data pipelines across enterprise use cases.
  • Act as a quality advocate with internal teams and external ODM partners, managing status communications, escalating critical issues, and defining schedule inputs to deliver user experiences.
