You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.\nIndividual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nIreland: €118000 - €120000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nServe as a technical subject matter expert supporting data centre power infrastructure planning and development, including supporting teams negotiating grid connection access, behind the meter generation, VPPs and direct wire structures (among others), providing insights and due diligence.\nSupport the development of business cases for new power generation resources (either on, near, or offsite) and other novel approaches of capacity delivery for new large loads by providing expert engineering input and due diligence.\nShape the development of grid operators’ technical requirements in partnership with execution teams (e.g. grid codes and other technical codes), liaising closely with engineering teams\nOversee power system/grid modelling exercises delivered by external partners to inform new site selection, power access, and carbon-free energy supply planning.\nSupport the development of novel regulatory mechanisms that can unlock power for large loads\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.\n5 years of experience in engineering technical project/program management.\nExperience planning and conducting due diligence on power generation or transmission infrastructure projects, and contributing to capacity reservation processes.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's Degree in Engineering.\nExperience with power systems modelling\nExperience with planning, negotiating, developing and commissioning of large-scale electric transmission or substation infrastructure projects.\nProven track-record in a cross-functional role at the interface of engineering, commercial and market development teams.\nDeep understanding of the European grids regulatory framework, cost structure and market dynamics.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2699,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Digital Media","Marketing Analytics & Attribution","Streaming & OTT Platforms","Consumer Internet Groups"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-21T16:37:07Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
