more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nPartner with Test Development team to lead production-scale release of new high-speed optical, electrical test systems by verifying system performance and debugging complex interactions (hardware, software, optics).\nCollaborate with engineering team to design and implement automated pipelines for Gauge R&R, software deployment, test operations and production system health monitoring.\nDefine and execute the strategy for scaling test capacity to off-shore Contract Manufacturers, overseeing deployment of test capacity and establishing protocols for remote fleet management.\nWork cross-functionally to professionalize hardware integration, extended workforce hardware builds to external vendors and creating documentation to ensure consistent replication of test systems.\nServe as technical lead for rapid-response production support, troubleshooting complex yield limiters, providing on-call support during critical production ramps (including nights, weekends based on production schedules).\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.\n4 years of experience in optoelectronics test, display metrology, or semiconductor manufacturing environment.\n4 years of experience deploying, validating, and debugging semiconductor hardware test systems.\n4 years of experience writing and debugging test system software.\nExperience scripting in SQL or Python.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).\nExperience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) or managing remote test fleets in high-volume manufacturing environments.\nExperience in Python and SQL for building automated data pipelines, tool deployment scripts, or system monitoring dashboards.\nExperience in automating manual engineering workflows (e.g., automated Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), one-click Software deployment) to drive operational scalability.\nExperience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional partners to align on test strategies.\nAbility to lead complex technical projects with high ambiguity and
