Responsibilities involve engaging a wide range of stakeholders including operations teams and regulators. Must be able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams at all levels. This role will have the ability to act independently with moderate direct supervision. This position reports to the site Environmental Director.\nCritical Success Criteria:\nDevelop working knowledge of existing operations and processes to aid compliance with relevant regulatory standards\nSupport capital project teams by providing environmental input and requirements\nServe as a technical resource for environmental compliance and continuous improvement to the site operations team\nSupport investigations and recommend corrective actions to maintain environmental compliance\nResponsibilities:\nUsing our Intelex software system, owns the environmental incident reporting and investigation system\nCoordinates environmental testing, audits, inspections, and recordkeeping\nRemains current on the state of the art in environmental control technologies\nPerforms data analysis to drive insights into environmental performance opportunities\nPrepares regulatory compliance reports including emissions inventory, periodic air monitoring reports, Greenhouse Gas, and periodic hazardous waste reporting\nReviews and summarizes technical reports, identifying key takeaways and action items\nCommunicates and engages with regulators\nWorks with consultants to monitor relevant regulatory changes\nWorks with the training department to create and update training documentation\nResponds promptly and effectively to the needs of the business.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited College or University\n3+ years of previous work experience in an environmental compliance related role with a consulting firm or manufacturing business\nPrevious work experience with facilitating regulators and on-site contractors\nPhysical Requirements:\nWillingness and ability to wear a full-face respirator mask directly against skin, work in a hot/high temperature production facility, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas with or without reasonable accommodation\nWillingness and ability to comply with safety protocols and company-provided decontamination measures\nCompensation & Benefits:\n Salary Range: $99,304 - $163,760. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives.
