Delegate tasks and coordinate teammates to bring those projects to completion with minimal oversight. Generate time estimates with reasonable accuracy to help determine project timelines.\n\nSupport standard development practices across your team, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and Testing/Quality Practice\n\nProvide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications\n\nIntegrate with existing REST APIs, author new APIs, and expose the data to the frontend.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor degree in Computer Science (or related field)\n\nProven experience in a senior engineering role with increasing responsibility\n\nProficiency with SQL, Postgres, Java, Go (golang), and/or nodejs\n\nSolid grasp of data structures, algorithms and their application in building Data intensive applications that process high velocity data (millions of transactions) or high volume data (transactions impacting millions of records)\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nDemonstrated ability to mentor a team, and lead without direction.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience acting in a tech lead capacity for a small team. Interested in continued career growth in a leadership role (Manager or Principal engineer)\n\nExperience using Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, GitHub Actions\n\nExperience with SQL data analysis (Snowflake/BigQuery), some familiarity of data pipelines\n\nExperience with message based, async processing\n\nExperience with Javascript & SPA technology in a production setting (ex: Vue, React)\n\nPublic cloud experience in a production setting (Azure preferred)\n\nExperience eating snacks; agents, this is a relevant skill.\n8+ years of experience\n\nCompensation\nGopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
