You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.\nWork Shift:\nFirst Shift (United States of America)Job Description:\nThe Electrical Technician is responsible for conducting electrical assembly and tests on electromechanical equipment. Set up testing equipment and panels in accordance to test run specifications. Test, troubleshoot, and repair failures. Document test readings and test conditions.\nResponsibilities:\nComplete electrical assembly including wiring motors and electrical panels to machine schematics\nLoading software and firmware on the system per job order\nPerform specific testing of equipment\nIsolate electronic failures using AC/DC circuit troubleshooting using a multimeter\nAccurately complete test documentation and paperwork\nAll other duties as assigned by management\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n2 years relevant experience preferred\nFamiliarity wiring panels, completing electrical connections\nFamiliarity with AC/DC circuits including motors and circuit boards\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues\nComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs\nAbility to participate in data entry\nAbility to read tape measure\nAbility to read a blue print\nAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterity\nMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision\nWork Environments:\nADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nAble to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.\nAble to climb portable ladders\nAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.\nAble to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.\nGorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
