You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.\nWork Shift:\nFirst Shift (United States of America)Job Description:\nThe Electrical Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of control panels. Assembler utilizes stock electrical and mechanical components to build custom panels per job instructions. Works with little or no supervision. Interaction with Technicians or Engineering Department may be required depending on complexity of the design.\nResponsibilities\nBuild or assemble non-electrified and electrified components by following the specified directions from the job paperwork\nRequired to test and initial electrified components for function\nSubmit requests for replacement tooling or supplies\nDebug and trouble shoot electrical problems\nComplete inventory cycle counts as needed\nEnsure all documents are filled out completely\nAll other duties as assigned by management\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire\nComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs\nAbility to read tape measure\nAbility to read a blue print\nAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterity\nMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision\nWork Environment:\nADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nAble to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.\nAble to climb portable ladders\nAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.\nAble to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.\nGorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
