You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.\nWork Shift:\nFirst Shift (United States of America)Job Description:\nThe Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, putting away material.\nResponsibilities:\nVerifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents\n\nResponsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components\n\nMatch all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepancies\n\nComplete receiving transactions in the ERP System the day components are received\n\nPlace all components and raw material in assigned locations\n\nComplete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)\n\nUse overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and fork lifts to unload trucks\n\nAll other duties as assigned by management\n\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred\n\nMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire\n\nBasic mechanical skills\n\nIntermediate math skills\n\nComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs\n\nAbility to use inspection equipment ex: calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator)\n\nAbility to participate in minor data entry\n\nAbility to read tape measure\n\nAbility to read a blue print\n\nAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterity\n\nComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision\n\nWork Environment:\nADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\n\nAble to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.\n\nAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.\n\nAble to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.\n\nGorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
