Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:\nCommunications\n\nFinance\n\nAccounting\n\nHuman Resources\n\nIT\n\nMarketing & Merchandising\n\nSupply Chain\n\nSales\n\nBuild a Career:\nIn the Data Engineering department by:\nThe intern will contribute to hands-on data engineering initiatives across the GFS Data Platform:\nArchitect, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes using Python, SQL, and GCP infrastructure.\n\nAutomate repetitive data platform tasks and assist in implementing proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders and IT teams in an agile environment to translate requirements into technical solutions.\n\nOnboard new enterprise data sources into the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data lake and manage analytics-ready datasets.\n\nBuild the Future by:\nBeing an intern at Gordon Food Service, North America's largest family-owned broadline food service distributor and working alongside our department\nAttending unique networking opportunities in and outside the office.\n\nEngaging in our mentorship program\n\nShadowing jobs across the organization to explore your career path potential\n\nParticipating in Gordon Food Services’ community and stewardship efforts\n\nDeveloping personal and professional skills through workshops about communication, LinkedIn, presenting, and more\n\nEmbedding directly with a team that treats AI as a core collaborator.
