Everyone is highly valued and plays a vital role in the growth of our organization.\nProject Manager - Industrial Construction & Facilities\nLocation: Manteno, IL\nDepartment: Engineering / Capital Projects\nWork Arrangement: 100% On-Site\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Industrial Construction to lead large-scale capital construction and infrastructure projects within a manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee projects from concept through commissioning, managing multiple concurrent initiatives with budgets exceeding $50 million while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.\nThe ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, utilities, mechanical infrastructure, and facility construction, along with exceptional leadership, project management, logistics coordination, and problem-solving skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage multiple industrial construction and facility infrastructure projects simultaneously, with individual and combined project budgets exceeding $50 million.\nLead projects through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Facilities, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, EHS, and external contractors.\nReview engineering drawings, electrical one-line diagrams, P&IDs, construction documents, and technical specifications.\nOversee installation and commissioning of industrial electrical, mechanical, HVAC, chiller, and utility systems.\nEnsure compliance with company safety standards, building codes, environmental regulations, and governmental requirements.\nManage contractor performance, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and construction quality.\nIdentify project risks, troubleshoot technical challenges, and implement effective corrective actions.\nCoordinate utility infrastructure projects with utility providers, municipalities, and government agencies.\nProvide regular executive updates regarding project status, schedules, budgets, and risks.\nLogistics & Supply Chain Coordination\nPartner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics teams to develop equipment procurement strategies aligned with project schedules.\nCoordinate long-lead equipment purchases to ensure materials arrive in accordance with construction milestones.\nMonitor supplier manufacturing timelines and delivery schedules to minimize project delays.\nDevelop staging, storage, and material handling plans for large industrial equipment and construction materials.\nCoordinate transportation, site deliveries, crane schedules, and installation sequencing with contractors and logistics partners.\nCollaborate with internal warehouse teams to ensure proper receipt, inventory, and preservation of project materials.\nIdentify supply chain risks and proactively develop contingency plans for critical equipment and utilities.\nRequired Qualifications\n Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).\n5-7+ years of project management experience leading industrial construction or manufacturing facility projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing capital projects exceeding $50 million.\nProven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously within an industrial or manufacturing environment.\nRequired Technical Skills\nElectrical Systems\nStrong understanding of medium voltage electrical distribution systems\nExpert supporting battery manufacturing, automotive, heavy industrial, chemical processing, steel, food manufacturing, or other large-scale manufacturing facilities.\n PMP, PE, CCM, or equivalent professional certification preferred.\nBase pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range.
