Everyone is highly valued and plays a vital role in the growth of our organization.\nAbout the Role \nGotion is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES & Data) to join our Digitalization Team in Manteno, Illinois. \nThis role will focus on implementing, deploying, and supporting digital manufacturing solutions within our battery manufacturing operations. The engineer will work closely with software developers, manufacturing engineers, controls engineers, and production teams to deploy MES systems, production data platforms, and factory digitalization initiatives. \nThe ideal candidate has experience with MES systems, manufacturing data, PLC integration, and production operations, and enjoys working directly on the factory floor to drive smart manufacturing initiatives. \nKey Responsibilities \nDeploy and support MES systems, manufacturing applications, and digital platforms in production environments. \nCollaborate with software development teams to implement and validate manufacturing solutions. \nSupport integration between production equipment, PLCs, MES systems, databases, and enterprise applications. \nConfigure and troubleshoot manufacturing data collection systems. \nDevelop and maintain operational dashboards, reports, and KPIs. \nAnalyze manufacturing data to identify process improvement opportunities. \nSupport system testing, commissioning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production rollout. \nTrain end users and provide ongoing support for deployed systems. \nWork closely with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve operational efficiency through digitalization. \nRequired Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. \n2+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, MES, industrial automation, manufacturing operations, or related areas. \nExperience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a production environment. \nExperience working with PLC systems such as Siemens, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms. \nExperience working with manufacturing data and production reporting. \nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases. \nUnderstanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or MQTT. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience implementing or supporting MES systems in manufacturing environments. \nExperience with battery, automotive, semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing industries. \nExperience with manufacturing analytics, OEE, downtime analysis, yield analysis, SPC, or traceability systems. \nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar reporting tools. \nExperience with Python, SQL, or software deployment projects. \nExperience integrating PLC, SCADA, historian, and manufacturing data systems. \nKnowledge of Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, and Smart Manufacturing concepts. \nExperience deploying software solutions in manufacturing environments is a plus. \nCompensation & Benefits \nGotion offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including annual bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development opportunities. \nGotion Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
