From advisory engagements to large-scale digital transformation efforts, our team helps organizations translate ambitious ideas into focused product strategies, executable roadmaps, and measurable results. \nIn this role, you’ll do more than maintain a roadmap or manage a backlog. You’ll work with business leaders, customers, design, research, data, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to identify the right problems, evaluate tradeoffs, establish priorities, and deliver products that achieve measurable outcomes. \nWhat You Could Be Doing: \nWhile every project we work on is different, and every role unique, below is a high-level overview of some of the responsibilities/hats you may wear while in our Transform practice: \nOwn a digital product, product area, or product workstream based on each client’s needs and maturity. \nTranslate business objectives, customer needs, market insights, and technology considerations into product strategies, priorities, and roadmaps. \nPartner with research, design, analytics, engineering, and customer-facing teams to turn discovery insights into product decisions. \nHelp clients evolve their product management capabilities by leveraging AI, emerging technologies, and modern product management best practices to improve how teams build and deliver products.\nDefine and prioritize capabilities, features, releases, and backlogs based on value, feasibility, risk, and dependencies. \nCreate product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and decision documents that move teams from concept to delivery. \nFacilitate planning, prioritization, roadmap, and stakeholder sessions that drive alignment and timely decisions. \nEvaluate product and technical tradeoffs while balancing customer value, business goals, delivery constraints, cost, and risk. \nDefine and monitor product metrics tied to adoption, customer value, revenue, retention, efficiency, or quality. \nSupport launches, adoption, and post-launch measurement when required by the engagement. \nPresent recommendations, progress, risks, and decisions to client stakeholders and senior leaders. \nContribute to proposals, sales presentations, and other product-focused business development efforts. \nWhat You Bring to the Table: \nWhen you join Torq, you’re a consultant first. At the Senior Consultant level, we expect you to do that with greater independence, stronger judgment, and a higher level of ownership. \nCore Consulting Strengths \nIdeally 5+ years of experience in product management, consulting, digital delivery, technology transformation, or a similar environment. \nDemonstrated experience owning a product, product area, or substantial product workstream. \nAbility to connect customer problems and business objectives to product vision, strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes. \nStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous client environments. \nProven ability to build relationships across product, business, technology, design, data, operations, and leadership teams. \nExperience defining roadmaps, backlogs, capabilities, features, releases, and supporting product artifacts. \nWorking knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid delivery, or similar product development approaches. \nAbility to partner with discovery teams and turn customer, research, design, and data insights into product decisions. \nA business-minded, technically fluent approach, with familiarity with APIs, integrations, data flows, platforms, cloud environments, and software delivery. \nAbility to balance product outcomes with delivery quality, stakeholder alignment, and team execution. \nHigh self-awareness, openness to feedback, and accountability for client, product, and team outcomes. \nLeadership and Team Impact \nAt the Senior Consultant level, strong individual delivery is the baseline. We’re looking for people who can also make the team better. \nAbility to support and guide junior team members through clear expectations, feedback, context-setting, and work review. \nComfort setting high but realistic standards for quality, communication, and follow-through. \nAbility to stay composed under pressure and help teams remain focused during complex or fast-moving situations. \nStrong team orientation, including a willingness to help peers, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team environment. \nSound judgment when making decisions, escalating issues, and balancing client needs, team dynamics, and delivery risks. \nAbility to create trust with clients and teammates through reliability, professionalism, and follow-through. \nBusiness Development and Relationship Growth \nSenior Consultants at Torq are not expected to be salespeople first. But they are expected to understand client needs, build strong relationships, and recognize where Torq can add value. \nAbility to identify client pain points, future needs, new initiatives, or opportunities for additional support. \nComfort building relationships with stakeholders beyond the immediate project team. \nAbility to contribute to proposals, sales conversations, solutioning discussions, or client presentations. \nStrong client presence, including the ability to build credibility through delivery, communication, and genuine partnership. \nComfort collaborating with other Torq experts to shape practical, feasible solutions for clients. \nBonus Experience \nExperience in the following areas is a plus: \nProduct tools such as Jira, Confluence, Amazon Kiro, Apptio, Miro, Figma, or PowerPoint. \nProduct launches, go-to-market planning, release readiness, adoption, or change management. \nEnterprise platforms, cloud or data products, APIs, integrations, internal tools, mobile, or customer-facing digital experiences. \nPricing, product positioning, competitive research, portfolio decisions, or regulated environments. \nBenefits and Other Fun Stuff: \nWe ask our consultants to be superstars, so we treat them like it. Being hired at or near the top of the range for this role is uncommon, as compensation determinations rely on individual circumstances.
