This means there are core skills we expect out of each of our team members. These include:\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience\nProven ability to lead the design and implementation of complex systems\nHands-on experience with AI dev tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.)\nYou’re still hands-on - comfortable writing, reviewing, and debugging code regularly\nSolid knowledge of backend technologies (Python, Java, Node.js, .NET, etc.)\nFamiliarity with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.)\nRapid prototyping tools (Replit, v0.dev, Bolt, etc.)\nExperience working in agile, cross-functional environments\nComfort navigating ambiguity and working on fast-moving projects\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nConsulting mindset - solutions-focused, adaptable, and client-oriented\nBonus Points for Experience With:\nWe welcome engineers from diverse technical backgrounds - we care more about your ability to think, build, and lead, than ticking every box on a tool list.\nPrior consulting, pre-sales engineering, or client-facing experience\nDesigning and scaling distributed systems, real-time or event-driven architectures\nWorking with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)\nBuilding and consuming RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other service architectures\nInfrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi) or DevOps tooling\nBuilding CI/CD pipelines and automating development workflows\nTest automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)\nOpen-source contributions or participation in engineering communities\nBenefits and Other Fun Stuff\nWe ask our consultants to be superstars, so we treat them like it. Being hired at or near the top of the range for this role is uncommon, as compensation determinations rely on individual circumstances.
