This role is responsible for driving vendor performance, optimizing supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and ensuring vendor investments deliver measurable business value.The Director partners across the organization to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex agreements, oversee vendor governance, and advance the adoption of AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics to improve procurement effectiveness and operational outcomes.\nSKILLS\nDuties and Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, contracting, governance, performance management, and renewals.\nDevelop and execute enterprise vendor management and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.\nLead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations.\nOversee vendor governance programs, performance scorecards, service level agreements (SLAs), and risk management activities.\nDrive vendor performance improvement initiatives and resolution of service, quality, or contractual issues.\nBuild strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support organizational goals.\nManage key supplier relationships and oversee complex commercial negotiations.\nLeverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve vendor insight, procurement efficiency, and decision-making.\nEvaluate emerging technologies, suppliers, and market trends to identify innovative solutions and business opportunities.\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.\nMaintain an understanding of applicable OPM requirements from a procurement perspective and implement sourcing, contracting, approval, documentation, and oversight processes that support compliance.\nSupport OPM audits, inquiries, and reviews by coordinating relevant procurement records, approvals, contracts, vendor documentation, and evidence of established compliance processes.\nLead and develop procurement and vendor management team members while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.\n10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract management, or supplier governance.\n5+ years of experience leading procurement, sourcing, or vendor management teams.\nStrong knowledge of procurement operations, vendor lifecycle management, contracting, negotiations, and third-party risk management.\nExperience managing vendor performance through metrics, scorecards, SLAs, and governance processes.\nProficiency using AI-powered tools, automation platforms, analytics solutions, and procurement technologies to drive business results.\nStrong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.\nAbility to influence and collaborate across business, technology, legal, compliance, and finance functions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMBA or other advanced degree.\nProfessional certifications such as CPSM, CPCM, PMP, CIPS, or equivalent.\nExperience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industries.\nExperience supporting federal contractors or government-regulated organizations.\nWork-at-home requirements\nMust have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.\n\nA minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.\n\nLatency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms\n\nHotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.\n\nA dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information\n\nHow we value you\nCompetitive pay/salary ranges\n\nIncentive plan\n\nHealth/Vision/Dental benefits effective day one\n\n401(k) retirement plan: company match - dollar for dollar up to 4% employee contribution (pretax or Roth options) plus a 6% annual company contribution\n\nRobust employee well-being program\n\nPaid Time Off\n\nPersonal Community Enrichment Time\n\nCompany-provided Basic Life and AD&D\n\nCompany-provided Short-Term & Long-Term Disability\n\nTuition Assistance Program\n\nWhile this is a remote opportunity, at this time G.E.H.A does not hire employees from U.S. territories or the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maine.\nPlease note that the salary information is a general guideline only. G.E.H.A considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.\nThe target hiring range for this position is $144,792 - $183,170 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $204,104 USD.
