In this role, you will oversee a remote team of 12 CMS developers, managing project execution, staff development, and team operations. You will be a key player in delivering high-quality client work, growing our CMS-based product offerings, and cultivating a strong team culture grounded in collaboration, mentorship, and technical excellence.\nThis role reports to the Director of Software Development.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam & People Management\nLead and support a distributed team of CMS developers (in-house and contract)\nConduct performance reviews and regular one-on-ones\nCoach and mentor team members for growth and accountability\nManage hiring, onboarding, and contractor relationships\nProject & Technical Leadership\nServe as a technical leader across CMS projects (primarily Drupal)\nMeet with clients and internal stakeholders to move projects forward\nEnsure alignment of technical decisions with long-term product vision\nSupport client projects with staffing, estimates, and delivery oversight\nStrategic Leadership\nDefine and drive department goals aligned with company strategy\nSupport the evolution of our CMS-based product offerings\nEngage with the Drupal community to foster visibility and collaboration\nMonitor department performance and contribute to company-wide initiatives\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExperience leading or managing technical teams, with a strong record of motivating and supporting others\n 5+ years of experience in web development, including CMS platforms (Drupal strongly preferred)\nExcellent communication and client-facing skills\nFamiliarity with professional services/consulting environments (public sector experience a strong plus)\nA versatile thinker who can balance project needs, technical vision, and team dynamics\nA commitment to community engagement and continuous learning\nBenefits\nWe strive for excellence in everything we do.
