The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of protein (swine and poultry) product lines.\n\nYour Impact\nConfigure and design variations of current products to meet customer order requirements.\nDevelop and document repeatable design procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across product configurations.\nSupply accurate bills of materials (BOMs) to support farmers, customer service, manufacturing, and assembly.\nCreate 3-D models and manufacturing/assembly drawings using Creo software.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the Voice of the Customer and align designs with product requirements and cost targets.\nAnalyze and identify risks related to customer needs, manufacturability, and project timelines.\nPerform design calculations and simulations to ensure product robustness and reliability.\nCoordinate and execute testing on concept and prototype builds to validate performance and safety.\nSupporting manufacturing and quality division of on-going production.\nApply knowledge gained from prior product development efforts to guide new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement, and field issue resolution.\n\nYour Experience and Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering or a related technical field.\nMechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to deliver innovative products.\nSolid modeling proficiency and understanding of mechanical design best practices, including experience with design documentation and structured development processes.\nA track record of contributing to or leading product development efforts, from concept through production release.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Azure DevOps, PowerPoint, and Excel).\nFive to ten years of experience in design or product engineering, sheet metal production, machining, and assembly.\nCreo and Windchill experience.\nExperience of airflow / ventilation a plus.\n\nYour Compensation and Benefits\nExpected annual salary for this role will be $70,000 – $90,000, plus an annual bonus target.
