You’ll work to develop a high-performance engineering team through people development and culture development while managing projects of varying scope. You’ll provide leadership and direction to the engineering team and will report to the engineering manager.\nImpact\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead a team of design engineers\nProvide constructive feedback and coaching to team members\nManage tasks, priorities, & resource plans\nBe transparent through effective communication to team members and to management\nFoster a winning culture of collaboration & continuous improvement\nClearly define expectations & provide critical team support\nProject Management\nVerify product requirements, cost targets, and priorities\nManage project timelines & drive accountability to deadlines\nWork cross-functionally with key stakeholders including product management, manufacturing, quality, sales, customers, suppliers, etc.\nAnalyze and identify risks\nCulture of Excellence\nFoster inter-departmental support of manufacturing, quality, & tech support teams\nEnsure accuracy of engineering output to facilitate all downstream functions\nDrive continuous improvement of systems & tools including automation of repetitious tasks\nEnsure adherence to standards and guidelines for design, modeling, drawings, processes\n\nExperience and Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role\nDegree in Civil, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience\nHigh degree of intellectual curiosity, and willingness to challenge status quo\nAbility to communicate cross-functionally to ensure organizational alignment\nPossess a passion for delivering solutions to enable customer success\nAbility to think and react quickly to new information & make key decisions\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)\nAbility to work in a deadline oriented, fast-paced, and flexible environment\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nExpected annual salary for this role will be $90,000 – $125,000 plus a bonus target.
