They work under the direction of the manager to ensure a continuous flow of material through the area and help solve issues as they arise to keep production moving smoothly. They also help with inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, project implementation, and everyday improvements. They support the manager in improving and maintaining best practices for safety, 5-S, quality, and productivity.\n\nYour Impact\nLeading a team of manufacturing employees. Assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and guidance.\nMeet and exceed production and delivery goals.\nPromote a work environment of continuous improvement through proactive process improvement programs.\nEncourage employees to achieve departmental and business objectives.\nEnsuring all equipment and tools are in good working order and submitting a work order through MPulse 9 for needed repairs.\nOverseeing cleanliness, safety, and 5-S of the work area.\nFollowing safety procedures and regulations and reinforcing this for employees who are non-compliant. Ensure employees conduct regular safety inspections and report all safety incidents to their manager. \nImproving warehouse operations efficiency by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance overall efficiency.\nBeing a role model for employees by providing guidance and mentoring for team members. \nPromote a team environment through effective verbal and written communication.\nFoster an environment of learning through effective training and cross training of assigned employees. \nDevelop and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization. \nOversee daily start up meetings.\nMaintain inventory accuracy by ensuring employees are scanning, counting, and updating Location Maintenance per company requirements.\n\nYour Experience and Qualifications\nHS Diploma or GED required. \n2+ years of progressively responsible or related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. \nSolid grasp of manufacturing or warehouse concepts, methods, and techniques.\nPrior Microsoft experience desired. \nPrior experience working in a warehouse and material handling experience is a plus. \nSuccessful completion of Grain & Protein Technologies and OSHA forklift training required within one week of assuming position.\nAbove average math skills.\nThe ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\n\nYour Compensation and Benefits\nExpected total compensation for this role will be $27.38- $34.53 per hour depending upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.\nUp to 5% gainshare potential.\nBenefits will include the ability to elect health care and wellness plans, dental and vision plans, 401(k) Savings Plan with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, health savings and flexible spending accounts, reimbursement for continuing education, life insurance, and other supplemental insurance plans. \n\nYour Workplace\nYou will be working onsite role based in Taylorville, IL.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F.\nThe physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day.
