We aim to bring joy, delight and excellence into the daily work of Grab engineers.\nGet to know the Role\nOur tools are used by thousands of engineers in Grab. We build tools and platforms to help Grab engineers build their applications quickly and safely, improve the testing process and quality of their apps, ensure the healthy of the CI/CD pipelines, increase observability of our applications in production, create end-to-end automation for different workflows, and create common libraries to power the common use cases in the different apps that powers the millions of transactions that happens in the Grab ecosystem.\nYou will look after both backend and mobile related tools and platforms to help improve the productivity of Grab engineers.\nThis role is onsite based in our Malaysia office.\nThe Critical Tasks You will Perform\nYou will support teams of smart and engineers to build the next gen deployment platform that allows Grab engineers to run their products and services.\nYou will build foundational tools so that Grab engineers don't have to reinvent the wheel.\nYou will work with Grab engineers to solve their custom problems, and make them more productive.\nYou will work with the team on the following:Architect efficient and scalable systems.\nWrite high-quality and well documented code, and ensure documentation of our tools & platforms are up-to-date.\nSafely roll-out large changes and updates that impact hundreds of engineers.\nIdentify and resolve performance and scalability issues.\nParticipate in design discussions and code reviews.\nBe part of on-call for the tools and platforms we own, and participate in post-mortems for any incidents.\n\n What Essential Skills You will Need\nAt least 5 years in platform / Software engineering, with 2+ years managing teams.\nA solid grasp of the software development lifecycle: how services are built, tested, released, and operated.\nHands-on exposure to Kubernetes / EKS and managed Kubernetes platforms.\nExperience with deployment and progressive delivery tooling (e.g. Argo, Spinnaker, or equivalent), and multi-cluster or multi-region deployment patterns.\nFamiliarity with the deployment stack: CI/CD, release and rollout/rollback mechanics, containerized deployment, and the operational concerns around shipping software safely.
