Get to Know the Team

The GrabMart Strategy & Operations team generates business insights, propose data-driven strategic programs and lead large projects to grow the business across GrabMart and Supermarkets (Jaya Grocer & Everrise). This team works with partners across all departments (Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and Product) in Grab.

Get to Know the Role

You will lead solutions for multiple projects within the GrabMart/digital retail space. This will range from campaign designs and promo budgeting, managing rollout of new product and implementing new business models. You will:

• Grasp new and complex concepts quickly whilst triangulating multiple views or data points to form opinions and recommendations to solve high priority problem statements
• Develop strategies: Break down complex problems, draw impactful insights/analyses, propose and implement data-driven solutions for important business problems. You will present clear, data-driven solutions and to lead projects forward by influencing decisions across teams.
• Project Management: Own multiple projects and lead agreement.

You will report to Strategy & Operations Manager (GrabMart) and work onsite at First Avenue, Petaling Jaya

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Produce data-driven insights to identify opportunities for business growth, product development and operational excellence
• Guide multiple projects end-to-end. This includes collaborating with multiple teams and senior leaders to move projects forward
• Monitor important growth metrics and identify ways to grow either by ideating new business models or optimizing existing programs/levers.
• Leverage on analytics (e.g. SQL, modeling tools, AI tools) to uncover insights and make informed decisions within your dedicated space. You will need to build complex analyses.
• Design experiments (and own end-to-end experimentation process) to validate important hypotheses.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

We are looking for a self-driven person who can work well in an uncertain and fast-paced environment. You will need:

• Minimum 4 years experience in strategy planning/Business Intelligence roles especially within eCommerce
• Ability to define clear goals, create hypotheses, and leverage all available resources to design and implement creative solutions
• Project management skills, with the ability to coordinate partners throughout the company and levels of seniority.
• You will need to be comfortable with drawing insights from complex datasets including the ability to present insights.
• Ability to articulate line of thinking; especially to Senior Leaders. You may need to hold respectful debates with Senior Leaders when resolving complex problem statements as a team.
