Our mission is simple: make it fast, safe, and boring for thousands of Grab engineers to ship code.\nGet to Know the Role\nWe are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own platform engineering initiatives end to end. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work onsite in Petaling Jaya. You will design and run infrastructure independently, shape architecture, mentor engineers, and work directly with security, SRE, and product engineering teams.\nThis is an infrastructure role first. But we build platforms, not just pipelines, so you will write code: APIs, services, controllers, CLIs, and automation that other engineers depend on, with tests and code review to match.\nThe Critical Tasks You Will Perform\nKubernetes at scale. Operate and evolve large EKS clusters running CI workloads, ephemeral build and agent environments, and internal tools, including autoscaling, node lifecycle, networking, multi-tenancy, and cost.\nAWS and Infrastructure as Code. Design and run production systems on AWS. Advanced Terraform, including reusable modules across large multi-account estates.\nCI/CD ownership. Architect and maintain GitLab CI and self-hosted runners for fast, reliable, and secure delivery.\nCloud automation. Automate account lifecycle, IAM, secrets, monitoring and logging, and policy guardrails.\nAI agent infrastructure. Build and scale the platform that runs AI coding agents in isolated, ephemeral environments: sandboxing, resource limits, observability, access control.\nCoding. Build internal services, APIs, and tooling in Go or Python, with tests and code review.\nLinux fundamentals. Strong systems administration, performance troubleshooting, and container internals.\nSecurity and reliability. Partner with security and SRE to embed guardrails into the platform.\nLead and mentor. Drive technical reviews, set standards, coach junior engineers.\nProduct mindset and stakeholders. Translate requirements from product, security, and infra teams into shipped solutions. Focus on developer experience, adoption, and measurable impact.
