We also apply AI-assisted approaches where they can improve infrastructure operations without compromising security or human oversight.\nGet to Know the Role\nWe're looking for a Software Engineer to join Grab's Cloud Platform team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You'll build and maintain the services and automation that help engineering teams provision, access and manage cloud resources safely. Working with Cloud Infrastructure and partner teams, you'll turn manual processes into reliable self-service workflows, improve production systems and explore AI-assisted tools with appropriate safeguards and human oversight.\nThis is a fully onsite role at our office in Petaling Jaya and will report to the Engineering Manager\nThis is a contract role for 24 months.\nThe Critical Tasks You Will Perform\nYou will develop and maintain backend services and APIs for cloud-resource access, connectivity and lifecycle management.\nYou will automate resource provisioning, configuration and decommissioning, with appropriate validation, access controls and failure handling.\nYou will build scalable solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure using infrastructure-as-code practices.\nYou will develop and operate containerised applications, and improve CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable deployments.\nYou will write maintainable code and automated tests; contribute to system design and code reviews.\nImprove service observability and performance using logs, metrics and alerts.\nYou will investigate production issues, participate in on-call duties and deliver lasting fixes.\nContribute to AI-assisted infrastructure workflows, testing integrations and verifying outputs before operational use.\n What Essential Skills You Will Need\nYou have 1+ years of professional software development experience, including building and testing production backend services in Go, Python or a comparable language.\nYou have experience designing APIs and applying sound software design, data structure and testing practices.\nYou have experience with containers, Git, CI/CD pipelines and safe deployment practices.\nAbility to build reliable automation that handles validation, retries, partial failures and appropriate access controls.\nExperience with, or a sound understanding of, AI-assisted workflows, including tool integration, safeguards and evaluation.
