Our portfolio includes GracePort® panel interface connectors, Permanent Electrical Safety Devices (PESDs), GraceSense™ predictive maintenance technology, and Proxxi wearable safety technology.\nThis is a hands-on senior engineering role spanning digital electronics, high-speed communications, embedded hardware, multilayer PCB design, and wireless connectivity. You'll work directly with analog, firmware, mechanical/electromechanical, product, and manufacturing engineering-and have meaningful influence over both individual products and our broader hardware architecture.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign digital and mixed-signal electronics, including microcontroller-based systems, data processing, communications, and connectivity.\nLead hardware development for high-speed wired and wireless communication systems.\nAdvance our capabilities in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and other wireless technologies, including RF design considerations.\nOwn schematic capture, component selection, BOM development, PCB placement, routing, and design release.\nDesign multilayer PCBs with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, and reliable communications.\nWork with interfaces and protocols including Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS-485, SPI, I2C, and UART.\nPrototype, bring up, test, debug, and validate hardware in the lab.\nTake designs from concept through prototype, certification, production, and field deployment.\nWork directly with board houses, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and certification labs.\nSupport UL, CE, FCC, EMC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in design reviews, influence hardware architecture, introduce new technologies, and help develop less-experienced engineers.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant engineering experience.\nExtensive hands-on electronics hardware development experience, typically gained through approximately 10+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent senior-level capability.\nDeep experience with digital and mixed-signal, microcontroller-based hardware.\nStrong high-speed digital and communications hardware experience.\nProfessional-level schematic capture and multilayer PCB design experience using Altium Designer or a comparable ECAD platform.\nStrong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, and PCB design practices.\nExperience taking multiple hardware products from concept through prototype, validation, certification, and volume manufacturing.\nStrong hands-on lab and hardware debugging skills.\nEspecially Valuable Experience\nExperience with wireless/connected products, Industrial IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular communications, RF/antenna considerations, industrial automation, sensors, field instrumentation, or ruggedized electronics is particularly valuable.\nExperience designing electronics for industrial, automotive, aerospace, defense, agriculture, food and beverage, or similarly demanding environments is also a plus.\nWhy Grace?\nYou won't be joining a large engineering organization where your responsibility stops when the schematic is finished.\nYou'll follow your designs into the lab, through certification, onto the manufacturing floor, and ultimately into the field. As connectivity becomes increasingly important to our products, you'll have the opportunity to help determine how we build it-not simply execute someone else's design.\nIf you want to stay hands-on technically while having real ownership over products and architecture, this role offers that opportunity.\nLocation & Compensation\nThis position may be based in Davenport, Iowa / the Quad Cities or worked remotely from an approved U.S. location.
