This specific role is for the development of future CNC Machinists. Upon completion of the two-year Machine Tool Technology degree, incumbents in this role will be promoted to a CNC Machinist C role on an open shift.\nWhat You Will Do at Graco\nSafely run and maintain production on a variety of machining equipment.\nRemove excess material to ensure trouble free and safe operation of machine parts to use in fluid handling products.\nConsistently meet Graco’s expectations in a timely manner for accuracy of work while minimizing waste by maintaining high quality for the product, equipment and facility. \nUsing blueprints and/or work instructions, process parts to specific Graco standards and tolerances.\nConstantly monitor the production process and report any possible product enhancements or safety issues. \nMeet or exceed departmental goals of efficiency and productivity through collaborative employee involvement.\nMaintain the safest possible work environment for self and others.\nUse all applicable software to input information relative to quality and quantity of parts produced.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You Will Bring to Graco\nHigh school graduate or equivalent.\nCurrent or imminent enrollment in a two year Machine Tool Technology program.\nEmployee must maintain good standing with the school while enrolled and maintain a C average or better.\nShift is flexible & can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule; work hours expectation is 80% full time employment or more. (32 hours minimum)\nNote: A completed 2-year degree in machining or machine technology is required to be promoted to a CNC Machinist C (transcript is required).\nAccelerators\nWithin six months of start date, individuals must demonstrate:The ability to safely run and maintain operation of assigned CNC machining equipment consisting of mills, lathes, and grinders.\nThe ability to work from detailed instructions with limited supervision.\nThe ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.\n\nMust understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, runs and/or acts which may cause injury to self, others or the work environment. \nHave to be willing to accept an off-shift or weekend position upon completion of Machine Tool Technology degree.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job (Lifting, dexterity, coordination, mobility, etc.).
