We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.\nTo Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nUnderstand and manage construction work in compliance with technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans;\nEffectively communicate proposed design modifications and concerns to the Engineer-of-Record in a timely and professional manner;\nProvide safety leadership on all projects by implementing and adhering to site-specific project health and safety plans, company guidelines, and best practices in construction safety;\nReview and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), contractor submittals, clarifications regarding the contract documents, and pay applications (invoices) in a timely manner;\nReview and approve contractors’ construction quality control (CQC) procedures including material submittals and manufacturers’ quality control documents for completeness and compliance;\nMaintain complete and accurate files for all incoming and outgoing project communications;\nMaintain time and production records, analyze construction schedules and critical path management (CPM), and monitor construction progress with respect to approved schedules and assist contractor in optimizing CPM tasks whenever possible;\nPrepare weekly construction meeting agendas and meeting minutes in an orderly and timely manner;\nApprove and issue field change requests and request change orders for out-of-scope work;\nReview contractor change order requests and make recommendations to the client regarding the merit of change order requests. Approve change orders if delegated under client authority;\nReview field documentation and laboratory tests of construction materials for compliance with the project specifications;\nEstablish, organize, and maintain field offices to provide a clean, orderly, and professional work environment;\nIdentify and manage project staffing requirements to meet project demands; and\nInteract with project personnel including contractors, project managers, engineers and clients to cultivate an integrated and professional team approach through open lines of communication and participation in work progress meetings; and\nDrive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. \nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nGeosyntec is open to several combinations of education, qualifications and experience.\nHigh school diploma and ten (10) years of relevant experience in construction management, or\nAn associate degree or a college diploma and a minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience, or \nA bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, physical science, environmental science, or related subjects and a minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience, or \nEquivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, ability and construction management skills.\nPrior experience managing infrastructure construction or environmental remediation projects with high standards for safe work practices and compliance with regulations and client requirements. (required)\nPrevious project management background and knowledge of CPM software. (preferred).\nExperience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows based software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint etc.). (required)\nTechnical understanding of construction quality assurance, and/or construction management procedures for civil infrastructure, solid waste facilities, or environmental remediation projects. (required)\nStrong willingness to work at construction jobsites in a variety of locations, with interest in building a career in Construction Management. (required)\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. (required)\nAbility to speak and hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. (required)\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic. (required)\nRegular field work and overnight travel. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
