We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.\nTo Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSupport process engineering evaluations for water, wastewater, groundwater, and stormwater treatment systems.\nAssist with chemical data review, treatment technology screening, and development of engineering recommendations.\nSupport civil and infrastructure design for water and wastewater conveyance, treatment facilities, site layouts, piping systems, and related project components.\nPerform engineering analyses such as planning studies, engineering studies, hydraulic modeling, process calculations, mass balance evaluations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.\nAssist with the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation for water, wastewater, groundwater, and stormwater treatment facilities.\nConduct fieldwork associated with design, pilot testing, construction services, system inspections, sampling, monitoring, data collection, and contractor coordination.\nAnalyze engineering and environmental data, including laboratory analytical results, field measurements, treatment performance data, hydraulic information, GIS datasets, and design inputs.\nPrepare maps, tables, figures, data summaries, design support materials, and visualizations for technical reports and client deliverables.\nPrepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, proposals, construction documents, and other written deliverables under the guidance of senior technical staff.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, scientists, contractors, laboratories, vendors, and clients to support project execution and high-quality deliverables.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing consulting, technical writing, problem-solving, project delivery, and client communication skills.\nDrive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. \nEducation and Licensure\nBachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, water resources engineering, or a closely related discipline. (required)\nAdvanced degree in chemical, mechanical, environmental, civil, or water resources engineering with coursework or research related to water/wastewater treatment, process engineering, environmental chemistry, or hydraulics. (preferred)\nAcademic, internship, co-op, research, or practical project experience involving treatment systems, process calculations, pilot testing, hydraulic analysis, infrastructure design, or environmental data evaluation. (preferred)\nEngineering Intern (EI) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability and interest to obtain certification. (preferred)\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nAcademic, internship, co-op, research, or early professional experience in process engineering, water treatment, wastewater treatment, environmental engineering, civil infrastructure, groundwater management, stormwater treatment, or related consulting work. (preferred)\nFoundational understanding of process engineering principles, water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, environmental chemistry, and engineering design fundamentals. (required)\nExperience or coursework involving treatment technologies, equipment sizing, pumps and piping, hydraulic modeling, mass balances, unit processes, physical and chemical treatment, and biological treatment. (preferred)\nInterest in applying engineering principles to water/wastewater (municipal and industrial) treatment, groundwater treatment, stormwater treatment, water reuse, conveyance systems, and facility planning or design. (required)\nAbility to organize, evaluate, and communicate technical data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software, statistical tools, Python, MATLAB, R, or similar platforms. (preferred)\nExperience preparing or supporting engineering drawings, design calculations, specifications, cost estimates, technical memoranda, reports, proposals, and presentation materials. (preferred)\nStrong technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, laboratories, contractors, vendors, regulators, and clients. (required)\nAbility to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, ask thoughtful technical questions, follow quality procedures, and contribute to high-quality consulting deliverables.
