Its solutions help customers increase throughput and consistency, improve safety and ergonomics, reduce product damage and operating costs, and strengthen production control through integrated automation.

To support our client, TAVIL, we are looking for an Automation Engineer / PLC Programmer to join their growing team in Lithuania and contribute to long-term industrial automation projects.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain PLC software, including updates, optimization and continuous improvements.
  
• Perform on-site commissioning and start-up: implement solutions, run functional tests, analyze results and apply necessary adjustments.
  
• Support automation/system design using engineering tools (e.g., CAD and modelling software) and contribute to technical specifications.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a production environment, coordinating first-line service actions to minimize downtime.
  
• Provide technical support and guidance to customer teams on-site, ensuring clear communication and smooth handover.
  
• Collaborate with international teams to design, develop and deliver automation solutions on time and to quality standards.
  
• Prepare clear reports and technical documentation, including test results, changes and commissioning notes.

Main requirements:

• Higher education in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience in automation, commissioning, maintenance, or similar industrial environments.
  
• Hands-on PLC programming experience using CODESYS, including Structured Text (ST) and Ladder Diagram / Contact (LD).
  
• Experience with machine vision (artificial vision) systems.
  
• Strong motivation and aptitude to learn.
  
• Willingness to travel frequently across Lithuania and internationally, especially during onboarding and start-up phases.
  
• Valid driving license and access to a personal car (mileage reimbursed according to the Company’s travel and expense policy).
  
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, Spanish is a strong advantage.
  

Nice to have:

• Programming skills in C++ and/or JavaScript.
  
• Experience with servo motors (commissioning, tuning, integration).
  
• Experience in robotics and/or advanced industrial automation projects.

• Salary: starting from EUR 2800 up to 3167 gross per month (depending on experience and overall fit).
